The story behind
Genius Airdrops.

Who we are, how the channel actually runs, and why it's built the way it is.

Where it started

Genius Airdrops™ launched in May 2021, at a point when airdrop coverage online mostly meant the same handful of links reposted across dozens of channels, with no real way to tell which ones were worth a reader's time. The idea behind the channel was simple: read the campaigns ourselves first, publish only what we'd act on personally, and say plainly when something is a paid placement rather than blur the line.

That approach is still the whole model. We haven't automated the reading part, and we don't plan to — a filtered feed only stays useful if a person is doing the filtering.

Who this is actually for

Two kinds of reader make up most of the audience. The first farms airdrops seriously and follows a dozen channels already; what they want from us is one feed that's already been filtered, not another raw firehose to sort through themselves. The second is newer to Web3 and hasn't been burned yet — what they need most is a channel that flags the scams instead of quietly adding to them.

Both groups get the exact same feed. There's no paid "alpha" tier and no private list that sees campaigns before the public channel does. If it's worth posting, everyone sees it at the same time.

How a campaign actually gets posted

Every campaign that reaches the channel is read by a person before it goes anywhere, checked against the same criteria published on the homepage — is the team identifiable, is entry genuinely free, what does it ask of a wallet, is there a real distribution date. Most of what we're sent doesn't make it through. That's deliberate; a channel that posts everything isn't actually filtering anything.

When a campaign is a paid placement, it's labelled as one on the post itself. We don't take a cut of any airdrop or giveaway a project distributes, and this site never asks anyone to connect a wallet to us directly — every link routes to the project's own site or the relevant tool's own interface.

Beyond the channel

Alongside the Telegram and X feeds, this site has grown into a small set of free tools built for the same audience: a swap and bridge rate comparison, a contract safety checker, a wallet activity checker, and a live gas tracker across the chains we cover most. None of them ask for a wallet connection or take a fee — they exist because the same questions kept coming up in the channel, and a tool answers them faster than a repeated explanation does.

There's also a growing library of airdrop guides, one per campaign type, covering how each mechanic actually works and what similar campaigns have paid historically — sourced and dated, not guessed at.

Where we stand, plainly

  1. We don't custody funds. We publish information about campaigns run by other teams; we never hold, distribute, or have access to anyone's tokens.
  2. We don't DM first. Any account messaging you claiming to be us, unprompted, about a reward or a claim is impersonating us — check our verification page if you're ever unsure.
  3. Paid means labelled. If a post is a paid placement, it says so. We'd rather lose the placement than lose the trust that makes the channel worth reading.

By the numbers

261,000+ followers on X, 91,000+ members on Telegram, running since May 2021. Numbers alone don't prove a channel is worth following — we'd rather you judge that from what actually gets posted.
