- Who it suits
- Anyone starting out. The barrier is near zero, which makes quests a reasonable way to learn how campaigns work — provided expectations are set accordingly.
- What it costs
- Minutes per campaign, plus gas if an on-chain step is included. Financially the cheapest category by a wide margin.
How to take part
A blueprint rather than a guarantee. Following every step improves your chances; nothing makes a distribution certain.
Start from the project's own announcement
Fake quest pages are trivially easy to build. Reach the campaign through the project's verified account, not a search result or a DM.
Complete every step, then verify
Most platforms require an explicit verification click per task. Unverified tasks silently do not count.
Use a real, aged account
Social tasks are increasingly checked against account age and history. Fresh accounts created for farming are routinely filtered.
Do the on-chain step if there is one
Campaigns that mix social tasks with an on-chain action weight the on-chain part far more heavily.
Keep a record of what you entered
Distributions can arrive weeks later, and knowing which wallet you used matters.
Ignore anything asking for a seed phrase or a payment
No legitimate quest requires either. This category attracts the most scams precisely because it attracts the most beginners.
What this has paid historically
Figures below are from the distributions named, on the dates named. They describe what happened once and are not a forecast. Most campaigns in every category pay nothing at all.
Typical outcomes
Quest campaigns generally distribute either a small token amount, an NFT credential, or an entry into a draw. Because participation frequently runs into six figures, per-person amounts are usually modest. Treat published totals as pool sizes, not per-person figures.

- Multi-accounting. Quest platforms have some of the most aggressive sybil filtering in the space.
- Assuming a large prize pool means a large payout. Divide by the participant count before deciding it is worth your time.
- Connecting a main wallet to an unverified quest site.
- Paying a 'gas fee' to claim. That is a scam pattern, not a campaign.
